Travel Team Tryouts

Welcome to the Michigan FC tryouts for 2024 for our travel soccer team! We are excited to see new talent and help young athletes reach their full potential. This page contains all the information you need to prepare for the tryouts, including schedules, tips, and what to expect.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

U8 to U10 | 5:00 PM

U10 to U12 | 6:00 PM

U14 to U17 | 7:00 PM

Why Michigan FC program?

Michigan FC has attracted players from Southwest Michigan for nearly 10 years. We promote and develop players for area from K - 12 (high school teams). Committed to teaching the game of soccer and helping each player reach his or her full potential. 

What is "select" soccer?

Michigan FC is a "select" club, meaning players are chosen (selected) for positions on teams using a means of assessment, such as a tryout. Positions on teams are secured based on performance. This differs from recreational soccer where players may be placed on teams simply by signing up.  

We try to field as many teams as possible with the maximum roster.

2024/2025 Tryouts

Our U8-U18 2024/2025 season tryouts are on Saturday, June 8, 2024. They will be held at the 15801 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48126.

All players trying out must register in advance. Watch our Facebook page and website for more information on open practices, coaches' rosters, and tryout times. Academy players will register in June.

Open Practices & Tryout Schedule

OPEN PRACTICES will be held the week of June 3, 2024. We invite everyone to come out, meet the coaches and attend open practices. See the schedule below for days, times and locations.

TRYOUTS will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 8th, & 9th 2024 at our practice fields located at 15801 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48126. All players must be registered before tryouts.

• U9Y Birth year: 2016 (WSSL U9 (7V7 Format)

• U10 Birth year: 2015 (WSSL U9 (7V7 Format)

• U11 Birth year: 2014 (WSSL U9 (7V7 Format)

• U12 Birth year: 2013 (WSSL U9 (7V7 Format)

• U13 Birth year: 2012 (WSSL U9 (7V7 Format)

• U14 Birth year: 2011 MSPSP Premier | WSSL Premier

• Other Information

  • A Michigan FC player tryout online registration form should be completed before tryouts.

  • There is no cost to attend tryouts. We strongly encourage pre-registration before tryouts.

  • Players must try out to be eligible to play. If unable to make tryout day, contact Michigan FC or the appropriate coach to make other arrangements.

  • Whenever possible, Michigan FC will form multiple teams per age group to accommodate the maximum number of players.

• No Tryouts

• If you couldn’t make the tryouts for whatever reason out of town, sick or other reason.

• If a player didn’t make the select team during the tryouts, they can still attend training, development sessions and attend in house Rec league for Michigan FC which consists of 8 games every weekend throughout the season.
